Technology in the Classroom
In my future classroom I will use technology as a meaningful part of instruction to engage my students, support different learning styles, and help bring lessons to life in ways that are interactive and easy to understand.

Interactive Lessons for Engaged Learners
My core approach involves interactive 10-minute lessons designed to capture student attention and promote active learning. I start with an introductory video from YouTube to provide context, followed by modeling examples on the Smartboard. Students then come up to the Smartboard to work through problems, fostering hands-on engagement. I conclude with a Kahoot! game to reinforce learning and keep students highly engaged.

Technology use for Diverse Learners
This plan is designed to empower students to become active, independent learners. By actively participating with technology, students stay interested and responsible for their learning. For example, in Kindergarten literacy, I use technology to teach letter sounds. A YouTube video with visuals and audio supports all learners, including ELLs, followed by Smartboard demonstrations. Students then complete a Google Classroom activity where they listen to a letter sound, choose a picture, and verbally identify the letter, providing essential visual support.

Guiding Instruction and Managing the Classroom
As a teacher, I rely on technology to guide my instruction and maintain an organized classroom. The Smartboard is central to my teaching, used extensively for modeling lessons, displaying visuals, and showing examples. YouTube videos and online resources like slideshows help clarify concepts. Google Classroom is invaluable for assigning work and tracking student progress. I also use Smartboard timers to ensure smooth transitions and effective classroom management.
